Your future awaits – apprenticeship opportunities galore!
11 February 2022
FCDO Services has launched its new Apprenticeship schemes for 2022, as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
Whether you or someone you know is kick-starting a career, returning to work or changing jobs, our apprenticeships could be the perfect opening to a brighter future.
We’re a government organisation that provides a range of services with the highest levels of security to UK and overseas government agencies. This includes design and construction, digital solutions, logistics, technical security, translation, and much more.
Wide variety of opportunities available
FCDO Services has many apprenticeship schemes on offer.
This year we are recruiting in the following disciplines: engineering, IT, logistics, broadcast and communications engineering, building services design, quantity surveying, data analysis, data science, IT project management, business administration, finance, marketing, corporate responsibility and sustainability.
Whichever apprenticeship you decide on, you’ll be trusted to help protect and support the UK’s interests at home and overseas. So, join us to make an impact that really counts and that you can be proud of.
Benefits stack up to your bigger and brighter future
You will gain practical experience and a fully funded, industry recognised qualification along with a competitive starting salary.
Other benefits include a Civil Service Pension and 25 days annual leave. Plus 8 days of public holidays and a day off to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday.
In some technical roles, you’ll even have the chance to work abroad in exciting and normally out of reach places.
We’re also a ‘Top 100 Apprentice Employer 2020’, which means you’re in good hands. We believe in investing in our people for the future and our apprenticeships enable us to do just that.
FCDO Services is somewhere you can be yourself, no holding back. Where you feel heard, recognised and appreciated. Where you have allies that support you. And where your wellbeing always comes first.
Your future just got a whole lot BIGGER!
Mike Astell, Chief Executive Officer for FCDO Services said:
“We’ve been hiring and developing apprentices since the 1960s, giving people the skills and opportunities to thrive. Whether you want to apply for a scheme that could see you working in a technical role overseas, or one which is based in Hanslope Park or London, you’ll end up being an integral part of your team, balancing your learning with real life work that supports critical government activity around the world.”
Seal of approval – Milton Keynes MP and Mayor Visit FCDO Services
In January 2022, during a visit to Hanslope Park (north of Milton Keynes), Ben Everitt MP for Milton Keynes North and Mayor of Milton Keynes Mohammed Khan, met with apprentices currently working towards their qualifications.
The apprentices gave the MP and Mayor some insight into their work designing and building unique products, which protect the national security of the UK around the world.
Former apprentices also spoke about their own areas of work and experiences of the apprenticeship scheme. Many have progressed in their careers and now run operations and departments within FCDO Services and the UK National Technical Authority on Counter-Eavesdropping (UK NACE).
