FCDO Services featured on ‘The Parent Perspective’ Podcast

In July 2023, we took part in Amazing Apprenticeships ‘The Parent Perspective’ podcast, hosted by Rachel Burden (BBC Radio 5 Live). We’re featured in the episode called ‘The Alternatives: the unexpected places an apprenticeship can take you’.

Aimed at parents and carers, it provides them with careers advice and guidance to support their children to make the best decision for them. The podcast features experts from across different careers, organisations and industries.

As a trusted government partner, FCDO Services helps to protect the UK’s interests around the world and in the UK. We provide a range of integrated and secure services that keep people, information and assets safe. Often in some unusual and normally out of reach places.

As such, we were a natural partner for Rachel to talk to in this episode about these kind of careers. Our Apprentice Manager, Richard, delved into what it’s like to be an apprentice at FCDO Services and the routes to become one.

We offer an extensive range of apprenticeships, and these cover a wide variety of exciting roles and disciplines. On top of this, our apprentices play a vital role enabling us to deliver and support our work now and into the future.

Read more information about our Apprenticeships and discover a whole world of work you didn’t know existed in government.
