FCDO Services publishes Annual Report and Accounts 2024/25

FCDO Services has published its Annual Report and Accounts for 2024/25. It was laid before the UK Parliament on 3 July.

The report includes our financial records and governance arrangements as a Trading Fund, as well as a summary of our key activities and success stories throughout the year. The report covers the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

This report reflects our continued evolution as an essential trusted partner to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Over the past year we have continued to provide secure specialist services across government, and to trusted international partners, that enable the UK’s diplomatic and security objectives.

Key highlights

In this year’s report, we feature:

  • how our teams successfully completed the international rollout of Osprey, the FCDO’s cloud-based IT platform, enhancing global collaboration by bringing the entire FCDO family onto one system
  • our delivery of Proviso Central for the Home Office, migrating the overseas visa processing system to a secure cloud solution that supports 3,000 users and processes 3-4 million applications annually
  • our Engineering and Operations team who led comprehensive upgrades at the British Embassy in Luanda, Angola, constructing a new secondary gatehouse, reinforcing perimeter walls, and installing modern water treatment systems.
  • our continued work with the Ministry of Defence, supporting projects like HERMES and JEFNet to help strengthen the UK’s international security partnerships across Northern Europe

“I would like to thank everyone across the organisation. Their expertise and commitment has been crucial in establishing FCDO Services as the exceptional delivery organisation we aspire to be, enabling UK diplomacy and national security globally.” – Mike Astell, CEO
